The Converge Retirement Plan offers two different retirement plans to its pastors, missionaries, district leaders, national staff, and full-time staff of churches or district conference. Many participate in both plans. The first offers a retirement savings account balance that grows with participant contributions and investment earnings. The second offers life time monthly payments during retirement years. The plans have a history of above-market investment returns and low investment fees, which have resulted in periodic ad-hoc increases in monthly payments.

Deferral Limits for 2010

You and your employer can contribution 100% of your cash compensation not to exceed $49,000 for 2010 to the Defined Contribution (Supplemental) Plan.  Your part of that contribution is as follows:

 

Maximum Voluntary Contribution 

$16,500

  

Catch up contribution (Over age 50)

$5,500

  

Total

$22,000

  

In addition ministers who have more than 15 years of full-time ministry can contribute an addition $3,000 per year up to a life-time maximum of $15,000.
